Monthly Gratitude – August 2018

August was short for me. It passed like a blink of an eye. I was personally and professionally so busy that I couldn’t write any post in last 3 weeks and also my gratitude post is out so late for this month! I somehow want my gratitude post go each month. Here are some moments in this month which made me feel happy and I am grateful for.

🎈 This year compensation letter was out in the first week of the month and our team decided to lunch out together for a change. It was almost a half year that we didn’t go out. We had been to BBQ nation and had good food together. We need such moments once in a while along with routine work of resolving issues and long working hours at the office.

🎈 Then came the Independence day celebration at the office. There were some art competition and also ethnical wear. We as a team decided to come in ethnic wear. Some team had come in tri-colour themed attire, some in state/region based attire. Whole floor and office were looking colourful.

🎈 This month also had our first PTM (Parent Teacher meetings) meeting. It was a pleasure to hear positive things about BP from teachers. Our little tot was growing big boy. Hope he continues to behave well and become a good person in life.

🎈 We visited two temples in this month which was pending from few years! It was a pleasant feeling to accomplish long pending checklist. I could explain BP about good and bad showing a big statue of Devi killing Rakshasa (Evil spirit) in one of the temples we visited.

🎈 This month also had Rakhi festival and it was on Sunday. I could prepare good food and some sweets for my cousin brother who every year visit my house on this day without fail. I tied Rakhi to him, we had food together. Also tied Rakhi to BP on behalf of his two cousin sisters and made him feel happy. Those moments are memorable.

🎈 At blog front, I joined to #FFfAW and could write flash fiction for photo prompt for 4 out of 5 weeks of this month. I love writing fiction and thanks to PJ for hosting this. I could contribute two posts for #ThursdayTreeLove and showing love towards Tree. Also My heartfelt gratitude to Vidya, host of Gratitude Circle, who inspires many people to think and find happiness in small things and write a post per month. I very much grateful to be part of Gratitude Circle.

🎈 The month ended by a day trip with my son to Lalbagh – botanical garden. He had a holiday on Varamahalaxmi festival day. So I took leave from usual office work and planned to spend a full day with him alone. It was my first trip with BP without PK’s accompany. It was like an achievement for me to take him alone. We both enjoyed to the fullest and one of the memorable day.

Check out a few pics which will talk more than my words 🙂
